The TCS Sydney Marathon takes runners from North Sydney across the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and through the city’s landmark streets, turning 42.195 kilometres into an unforgettable journey.
In 2025, Sydney made history by becoming the seventh Abbott World Marathon Major, joining the sport’s most celebrated races. The men’s course record is 2:04:42, set by Addisu Gobena in 2026. The women’s record is 2:18:22, set by Sifan Hassan in 2025.
