Rome marathon attracts approximately 13000 runners every year and starts in three waves. For 2025 Rome is celebrating 30
years and wants to bring 30000 runners to Rome. The race was established in 1982 and has a course record of 2:06:24. The
race in an exciting journey through the ancient Rome and its beautiful archaeology. The main character of the race is the
Colosseum, majestic background, start and finish point of the race. The race is mainly flat with more or less than 40 meters of
elevation gain with 6km of cobblestones. The cut off time to receive a medal and finish is 6 hours 30 minutes after the official
start at 8h40.
